I noticed that upon first opening 12.5. Switched to a local session, now when the dash pops up upon opening PT, it is on local session instead of project.

Same for me as for stormking69, first time opening 12.5 it was set to "Project", changed to "Session" and now that is default.

After first selecting Local Session, and then actually creating a local session, future launches of "Create New" will default to selection Local Session.
