Completely removing Pro Tools from my system
Is there a document on how to completely remove Pro Tools and Digi drivers from my WinXP Home computer? I've got PT 6.4. I don't believe that the add/remove programs in the control panel completely cleans things out. I need to reinstall, but I want to start with a clean slate to help avoid problems.

Re: Completely removing Pro Tools from my system
There is a article in the answerbase on how to manually uninstall.
A search will turn it up.

I already looked there. They have something about PT v5, but it's not very user friendly. I couldn't find anything on v6.

Re: Completely removing Pro Tools from my system
Why not just save your important data and reinstall Windows? I do it all the time. Seems like every 2 months or so. I know that it is probably unnecessary, but I install and uninstall so many programs that it just "feels" cleaner.

A reformat is not needed unless this does not solve your issue. If this is too diffuicult, you are out of luck. Quote:

Thanks for finding that! My search did not turn up that answerbase entry.

Also try searching for and deleting all instances of dalwdm.sys as per Rail's post here:

Cheers,
