Playback cursor locator keyboard shortcut?

Is there a keyboard shortcut for "Playback cursor locator"? I didn't find one in the shortcut guide. I did some Googling, and found a suggestion to use the down arrow key, but this doesn't seem to work.

I know I can mouse over and click on the little triangle in the "Bar|Beats" ruler, but it's nice to have a keyboard shortcut.

Left/right arrow will center the locator on-screen.

Are you in "Dynamic Transport" ? (Menu Options)
And want to play back the edit selection ?

yup, to be clear the "down arrow"= mark edit start, "left arrow"= center edit end.

It's funny -- I just bought one of those Pro Tools "Logickeyboards" a couple of days ago, with the shortcuts printed on the keys. It was painfully expensive, but many of the idiosyncrasies of PT make a bit more sense when you can easily see how all of the shortcuts are laid out.

Nice. Those have the advantage of being removable and inexpensive.

I considered one of those, but I've never cared for keyboard covers. I also wasn't sure how well it a cover would work on a modern Apple keyboard with low-profile key height. It seems to be working well for you, though.

Hey - I know this is an old thread but not this is one of my favorite shortcuts and it appears to have been broken in a recent update if you're doing it on a midi track that's NOT in clip view.

This might sound random but if I have the volume view selected for a midi track and I hit down arrow and then right arrow it does not center the cursor anymore! This is because they added a new shortcut so that right arrow goes to the next midi track. Is there a way to go back to the old shortcut of having right arrow ALWAYS center edit end? Is there another key that will center edit end instead of the right arrow?

This is a very big part of my workflow - I automate the volume on midi tracks all day long and really need to be able to jump to where the cursor is all the time. Any thoughts would be super helpful!
