PT9 HD2 ACCEL PCI-X w/ HP Z400
Has anybody had success using PCI-X HD2 in an HPZ400 using the 2 32-bit PCI slots. I've read the HP tech documents and it says the HP Z400 supports both 5 & 3 volt PCI cards.
I don't want to buy an expansion chassis. I really want to try and use the cards rather then switch to HD Native at this point. These used to be in a Mac G5. I know that the official documentation says the HP Z400 is approved for use with HD2.... BUT it is very unclear about PCI-X systems. Basically, the only specified configs for PCI-X cards are with an expansion chassis. I've heard of others using PCI-X PT9 HD setups on win 7, but not so clear on what CPU's work well. Thanks for your input! Jonathon |
