Default Pro Tools Expert Training worth it?

Hey all,

I have a quick question for everyone. I am interested in enrolling and completing the Pro Tools Expert Certificate classes. I was wondering if this would be worth it....meaning, what would it allow me to do in the recording business? Would studios hire me to record/mix or help setup/maintain their studio? I was just wondering what job opportunities would open up if I completed the Expert certificate in Pro Tools.

Thanks all for your time!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers,

Jay

I have found the best way to learn is real world experience. Try getting an internship at a place that does what you want to do. I think you'll get more out of the experience, plus, you'll make contacts there as well.

I agree with the thought process of the real world experience. There is nothing like hands-on experience. Having said that, I attended the Pro Tools training in Nashville,Tn. It was well worth my time to attend. The classes were intensive but very helpful. Many studios are now using Pro Tools, including mine. What I would not give for a qualified, certified Pro Tools engineer. I desire only to run the studio. If you contact the Pro Tools training center, they will answer your questions more effectively. Also, it helps if you go to the school to be prepared. You need a good working knowledge of the pro audio field.
