PT 7.3 vs 7.4 PPC performance?
Hello DUC:
As my computer reboots during the PT 7.3.1cs6 upgrade, I thought I'd ask the brave 7.4 users out there whether there is an overall performance hit going to 7.4 from 7.3. My understanding is that Elastic Time is more disk intensive, but if you leave it off, are all the editing and playback functions of PT just as snappy as they were in 7.3? Since I have a dual 2.7Ghz G5, I'm more interested in hearing from other PPC users. And, for reasons that are too long-winded to go into here, I'm still using SoundMiner 3.2cs10 (although I own v4). Are the SM/PT7.4 problems ironed out yet? Thanks in advance, Nathaniel Reichman www.nathanielreichman.com
