Silent external firewire drive? SSD?
Is there an external silent firewire solid state drive that works with protools 10 and can (preferably) be bus powered by the Digidesign 003r?
I'd prefer to keep the drive inside the lockable metal Esmono voiceover recording studio for security

Re: Silent external firewire drive? SSD?
I have about 30 OWC external drives and they are all dead silent. They are not SSD's but I would venture to guess that they use the same enclosure technology for their SSD's. They are more than fairly priced and totally reliable. It's worth a shot to call them and ask them about their SSD's.

Need to purchase another (probably around the 1 TB size) - but not sure which one from OWC. Been using Lacie - thinking of switching... Thanks, Sparky |
