Dynamics III Expander/Gate in PT8 problems

It appears that dynamics III Expander Gate is not working at high sample rates (88.2k/96k). It works fine at 44.1/48. At the higher sample rates I've had all kinds of erratic behavior. The plug in will somehow playback audio from other tracks that have that also have the expander gate on them. If the plug in does manage to pass audio from the track it is on, the audio is usually messed up with some sort aliasing noise in it. Its basically unusable at high sample rates.

I checked the download page for this plug and there isn't a downloadable version for PT8 and it isn't listed on the plugins compatibility list. They must have not had time to do an official 8.0 version of the plug.

I know this plug in probably isn't a hinge pin item for most, but its the only free one that has "look ahead" and I use it a lot.

You're not alone. I've had many of these exact problems with the expander/gate running at 96khz. It might be worth trying removing all your third party plugins and see if that solves it. I've not noticed the problems recently in PT8 since we've been forced to remove most third party stuff (that we paid good money for) due to RTAS seemingly being about as stable as a one legged prostitute on giro day.
