OK, first things first; please, STOP SHOUTING.

Next, What is it exactly that you are trying to do? You said you have the M-Audio Keyrig Virtual instrument, the Rack ES, and a USB MIDI Keyboard?

Which USB keyboard specifically?
Do you have the proper updated drivers installed?
What platform? (MAC or PC?)
How are you connecting the Motif?

There should be only one item you need to setup in the MIDI Studio Setup; the Motif.
The USB keyboard can be selected by it's generic driver name on MIDI/Instrument tracks and doesn't really need to be setup in the MIDI Studio Setup at all. The only benefit would be to change the name on the menu so that it would be more recognizable to you.

As for how to use the KeyRig, maybe my Softsynth tutorial on www.ptnewbie.com would help?

Ah. Now I understand.

M-Audio also has a Virtual Instrument product named KeyRig (why they do that, I don't know), and you didn't really indicate in your first post that you were referring to your USB controller as the KeyRig 49, so answering that question helps a lot.

You still need to answer some of the other questions I asked though, please;

Do you have the proper updated drivers for the KeyRig 49 installed?
What platform? (MAC or PC?)
How are you connecting the Motif?

I need this information to better assist you. Thanks.

Seriously, if the keyrig is connected properly, and your computer recognizes it, this is all you have to do:
 • Create a stereo instrument track
 • in the "instrument" section of the track, select the keyrig as the MIDI input (I'm not sure what text the keyrig drivers will put in the list, but it will probably have "USB" in the name somewhere)
 • select the channel on the MBox 2 MIDI output that you want to use on the Motif as the MIDI output for the instrument track
 • select a patch on the Motif that will receive on that channel
 • In the audio I/O section of the instrument track, select the audio inputs that you have the Motif plugged into.
 • Make sure that "MIDI Thru" is selected (Options->MIDI Thru)
 • Record enable the instrument track track.

That's really all there is to it. Have you tried those steps? If you have, what part is failing?

With the gear that you are using, there really is no reason to muck about in the MIDI Studio Setup (yet).

No offense, but maybe you should have read it. I learned most of the things that I know about Pro Tools from reading the Pro Tools Reference Guide (the manual), including the steps that I just gave you.
