I'm still on 7.0, so I'm not sure about 7.2+ or earlier than 6, but here's what I know about 7 which I'm pretty sure is true for 6.x :

except for the following 3 operations, the traditional direct conversion from MAC to PC functions as expected (Cmd=Ctl, Opt=Alt, Ctl=Win/Start) for all keyboard shortcuts in the mix and edit windows.

the three exceptions to the rule are:
1. "Tabbing": on a mac use the Opt modifier to move edit selection backward (i.e. tab back, extend selection back, go to and sel. prev reg.) On a Windows machine, substitute the Control button for tabbing back. The Ctl (Mac) or Start (PC) and shift modifiers work the same on both platforms.

2 Modifying "Return/Enter" key: on a mac, use the Opt modifier to go to or select song end, on a PC, use Control. Shift modifier works the same on both platforms.

3 MIDI events list: on a mac, use Opt modifier and tab key to tab to previous event (up the list). On a Windows machine, use the Control modifier with the tab key.

Also:
Some dialogs such as Import Audio have very different key commands cross-platform, all of these can be found in digi keyboard shortcut docs.

The only other difference I know of is that on a Mac, you can use the OSX command to switch between open windows within an App. (apple+~) to switch btwn mix and edit windows (VERY convenient on 1 screen). I haven't found a command in windows that will do this in Pro Tools. I've tried some windows commands that should work but don't.

hope this helps, and if anyone knows more info, please post.

I'm pretty sure ctrl and = together switches between mix and edit windows.

yeah ctl + = is good if your right hand is at p;l', but it's sweet on the MAC to have it where your left hand always lays... or is it lies.... I'm havin to grab the trackball most times that I switch to MIX, so to flip w/o moving my hand off the trackball is nice

... I guess I should have said "I haven't found an equally convenient way to do this in windows"

Here's the best trick.....

I posted this one a while back, but no one took notice, so since you guys brought up the topic.

http://webpages.charter.net/krumsick/

Download the program on the pc you're using protools on.
Then remap the following keys.

Alt Key becomes Ctrl (Apple Command Key Position)
Windows Key becomes Alt (Apple Alt Key Postition)
Ctrl Key becomes Windows (Apple Ctrl Key Position)

I hope that's right anyway. Now try working on the PC just like you would on the mac and feel right at home. The only shortcut that's different when working like this, is back-tabbing, which is Command-Tab instead of Alt-Tab. Everything else should be the same.

Hope this helps....
