Default no midi patch select in mix window?

Any ideas? I am running PT 8.0.1. I see the midi patch select button in the edit window on each channel, but do not see it at the bottom of the mix window channel strips? I believe it should be there, thought it mentioned it in the user guide...I can select different midi patches this way in the edit window but it would be nice to do the same in the mix window...thanks...

I'm guessing that you are using Instrument tracks? If you go to View>Mix Window Views... and make sure Instruments is checked.. then I'm pretty sure you'll get the patch select button at the top of the channel strip.

hi Flommer...it's actually the patch select icon that used to be at the bottom of the channel strip in the mix window under PT 7...I do not see it in either a midi track or an instrument track in the mix window...I'm not in front of my system now, but do not remember seeing it in instrument view in the mix window either...will confirm tonight...freaking me out...

I'm not at my Mac either, but I'm pretty sure it should be there.. For some reason I don't remember seeing it on MIDI tracks but you might just be making me paranoid...

It should be there for Midi tracks as well. I painfully went through the trouble of making a .midnam file for my MR-61 with the expansion cards
and a couple other outboard synths/ drum machines. Yes... I am a music geek. I should get out more.

OT question: Did you find a pdf or something you can copy/paste from or did you type in every patch name??
