Default Progamming sound module into midi patch select

I am a new user to Pro Tool LE 7.
I am using jv1080 sound module to trigger the midi sound onto P. T Le 7 midi trk.

Firstly, I selected perference >default thru instrument> click on the require channel. Now sound are play perfectly., However I have to do this to all the midi trks i am using.

I found on P.T. LE 7 there a midi patch select. I am not sure how to go about it> I read the manuals, check the online answerbase,
But still no solid answers.

Can you help?

What exactly are you trying to do? Select a patch on a MIDI track? Assign different MIDI tracks with different patches?
Select patches by name?

You post was kind of confusing.

Sorry for the confusion Spkguitar & to the rest of you.

I would like to assign different MIDI tracks with different patches in the midi patch select dialogue box(it Pt 7 that actually mention the patch select for midi, but does not show how to assign the midi signal

I hope my explaination is much more understandable

Thank you

OK. I think I understand a little better now.

What you will need to do is set up the jv1080 in the MIDI studio setup. Now here's where your confusion might be coming into play, as they left the information on how to do it out of the ref guide! (ooops! Long story; used to be mac only thing and windows got it in 6.7, but they haven't integrated it into the manual yet)

I'm sure they will rectify that soon ( ), but until they do, the information on how to set it up is on Page 47 of the "What's new in 6.7 Guide" (I know, why would you even look there?)
Quote:

1 Choose Setups > MIDI Studio Setup.

2 Click Create.

3 In the Instrument Name field, type the name
of your instrument, and press enter.

4 Set a manufacturer and model for the new device
from the corresponding pop-up menus.( in your case, the manufacturer would be Roland and the model is jv1080) If
the Manufacturer and Model pop-up menus do
not provide a name for your particular device,
choose None.

5 From the Input pop-up menu, choose the input
port on your MIDI interface that is connected
to the MIDI Out of your instrument.

6 From the Output pop-up menu, choose the
output port on your MIDI interface that is connected
to the MIDI In of your instrument.

7 Enable the appropriate MIDI channels (1–16)
for the Send Channels and Receive Channels
options (These determine which channels send
and receive MIDI.)
After that, it's just a matter of assigning the MIDI track's output to be that device, and then selecting the program from the MIDI track's program selector/button. ( page 429 of the Reference Guide )
