Hey everyone,
I'm having a slightly weird issue with 2019.6. Whenever I import 5.1 audio, the centre channel ends up on channel 1, top of stack in the edit window waveform view... coming out the left speaker. My I/O and monitor patch are both set to 5.1 SMPTE. I can't figure it out. Please haaalp. ![]()

Split the track to mono. Then reorder the mono tracks from top to bottom to a 'film mode' order (L, C, R, Ls, Rs, Lfe). Select all these mono tracks and drag it into a (new) 5.1 track.
You can 'consolidate clip' to make a proper file if needed. Your source file may be wrong, could have been exported alphabetically ("c" being the first track), or whatever went wrong, this is the solution ![]() ps. the I/O setup, output settings or 'path order' settings have no effect on the Protools track/bus order which is always 'film mode', so always sort as film mode. |
