I was wondering if anyone knew why in ProTools when you go to "Create a Session from Venue" that it will only work with a single ethernet interface?!
Right now my dilema is that I aggregate two 1 Gb/s interfaces together, so that my file transfer of rather large ProTools sessions (>130 GB) takes less time, then relaunch ProTools but the "Create a Sessions from Venue" is no longer there and you can't go in and relink it under Setup> Peripherals. Once I exhausted every option I deleted the aggregate and changed it back to a single ethernet interface, it works just fine. ![]() Thanks for any help! Could it be a switch issue? I've been thinking about doing the aggregate thing but not gotten around to it yet.

Yeah, even after changing protocols between a static trunk and LACP, ProTools still isn't happy. Has anyone else had the same problem or found a solution? Thanks!

Hi,
Not sure what could be happening here - but my guess is that the aggregated interface presents itself in a slightly different way than a single interface, which must be confusing Pro Tools. We haven't tested aggregated ports, but will try to check this out; will report back if a solution is found. Sheldon |

Sound great, thanks Sheldon! It must be confused because when you go to Setup> Peripherals >Venue under the Advanced Network Settings mine will never even display the correct IP address, just a random one.

Hello,
I'm having the same issue, did you ever find a workaround for this?

So ProTools tries to match the interface type that VENUE reports (AVB in S3L/S6L, MADI on S6L and legacy, FWx and HDx in legacy) to the interface it runs against. And for aggregate interface it doesn't see it as AVB or anything else, and thus it cannot match. So the "Create session from VENUE" doesn't work with aggregates.
