9.0.5 won't start up on OS X Lion
When I try to run Pro Tools 9.0.5, it always crashed when it gets to loading XPand!.dpm. Anyone have a clue why?
I have an iMac 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 processor and 16 GB of RAM, and I'm running OS X Lion (10.7.1) |

What version of Xpand! are you running? Seems 1.0.3 is the current.

Re: 9.0.5 won't start up on OS X Lion
I'm having the exact same problem. I updated to 9.0.5. and installed Lion, everything worked fine. I then updated to 10.7.1, everything still worked fine and even finished a mastering session using it. This morning, turn on the computer and pro tools won't fire up. It hangs on whatever is the last plug-in to be loaded. I tried to post the error log but this forum is limited to 20,000 characters. Any clues is much appreciated!

Re: 9.0.5 won't start up on OS X Lion
I actually just fixed it, here's how. I went into Time Machine and restored back to before I put 9.0.5 on, then reinstalled 9.0.5 and now it works again. For how long? who knows! I'll keep you posted.

Re: 9.0.5 won't start up on OS X Lion
Make sure all your plug ins are up to date.
The Plug-in Compatibility Grid at the top of this page may be of some help.

Re: 9.0.5 won't start up on OS X Lion
No, but as always uninstall Pro Tools, then install 9.0.0 anew and after that directly 9.0.5. I guess that you migrated the system with Pro Tools from SL to Lion. That makes problems.

There is a 9.0.5 full installer for Mac so there is no need to install 9.0

Re: 9.0.5 won't start up on OS X Lion
It seems to be an issue with the Audio MIDI Setup. The best course of action is:
Uninstall Pro Tools Open the Audio MIDI Setup and make sure the Pro Tools Aggregate I/O has been deleted. If it hasn't do so manually. Reinstall Pro Tools 9.0.5 Everything should work normally from that point on. |
