Missing delay compensation for side chains - is it unworkable?

I remember someone saying Sidechains were only compensated on AAX-dsp plugins, not aax-native plugins, even if you have an HDX system.

can anyone confirm this?

not having Delay comp on side chains really sucks. is there any plugin "ping" solution that can compensate for this? (ie sending a signal out to measure and then adjust accordingly)

One year later and absolutely no progress has been made regarding this issue. I'm so tired of freezing all the latent tracks in my session every time I want sidechain delay compensation..

Just wanted to remind you all how twisted this actually is, and also that we shouldn't have to pay a premium for product that is partially working.

Was this not an issue before? How’s it more mixers are not complaining?

Still no clarity as to whether or not HDX solves this issue on non-DSP aax or non-avid aax plugins either. At this point I would take a latency calculator plugin from avid to atleast work around it reliably.

This issue has been resolved in the latest version of Pro Tools (2021.6). Finally!
