how can i hit play and have strike start at the same time?
I insert strike on a instrument track and load loop from strike i start session but strike doesnt follow along. I want it to play like midi beat clock would start a drum machine. is this possible? If so how do i set it up? thanks

Re: how can i hit play and have strike start at the same tim
It's too bad the manual for Strike does not address this issue (to the best of my knowledge). The manual explains what everything does but has very little info on the actual programming of a drum track. A tutorial would be helpful.
Try inserting the note for the loop you want either by MIDI recording or use the pencil tool. Then drag the length of the note as long as you need it to play... presumably to a fill or another pattern. By repeating this process you will have instant "on" whenever you hit play. Make sure the latch button is off. Its a tedious process building a drum track this way... I wish Strike had the capacity to do MIDI note chasing so that it looks back to the previous note on the MIDI track to get its loop info from. Maybe it does and I haven't found out how to do it yet... Hope this helps |
