How do I get my Mbox to work on OSX 10.5.8

Wow it has been a while since I was on here.

I finally got my mbox back from someone who was borrowing it for a couple of years and am trying to get it to work with my new macbook pro w/ 10.5.8.

the software was 6.4 but I managed to download a free 6.9.2. However, it still doesn't work. Do I need to purchase an upgrade? the problem is that it seems digidesign is not going to support the original Mbox any more so I am thinking that I might jump ship and move to Logic as you get free automatic updates and I can get the mbox to work okay with that ok.

I currently live in Nigeria so it is very hard to buy new audio equipment here and I have to try and make do with what I have. It is a shame as I have been using protools for about 10years and really like the system. I even had a HD system in my studio in the US but I only brought the Mbox out here with me as it is all I needed to do podcasts etc.

You need to 7.4.2 or you may as well go to 8.0, it's not free.
