5.1 stem
I am a sound designer working on my first feature film. (Post production)
My question is: What is the best way to go about making stems of dialogue, fx etc in 5.1 film mix? I'm using Pro Tools HD2. |

Re: 5.1 stem
Talk to your mixer. He will tell you what is the preferable way to deliver your pre-mix to the dub stage.
My mixer always asked to leave dialogs without any busing - just center, mono. BG's are 5.0, FX 5.1, Foley LCR, Music LCR or 5.0. But really every mixer has his own work flow...and you don't want to mess with it. Right?
