Also using a Sync I/O with Lavry Blue?

I am clocking my whole system off a Lavry Blue. I would like for the MTC to be clocked as well so could I just put the Sync I/O in the word clock chain then run midi out of the MTC out? Also does it matter what the last piece of equipment is linked in the whole word clock chain and should it be looped back? terminated somehow? or just left with nothing coming from the last devices WC out?
