Default People\'s favourite EQ plugins?

Hi.

I have no real-time EQ plugins, apart from the digirack ones. For what it's worth ,a large amount of the music I do is electric/acoustic sourced, and not synth.
Can anyone recommend a good EQ plugin?
How about the focurite D2/D3 bundle?

Some guidance will be very welcome.

Cheers,

Dave

I second the McDSP Filterbank, they are amazing! Although I must say I'm a very big fan of the Waves stuff, mainly the RenEQ.

Ren eq is by far the best bang for the buck. Not so great for surgical stuff where high Q values are important - I use the "Q" series eqs for that stuff. I tried the Focusrite demos - I thought they were real nice clean eqs with some coloration in the boosts - not as colorful as the Ren...different. more airy. probably gonna buy it. I like using the Digi eqs quite a bit for wide cuts on individual instruments - very cpu efficient.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Exactly. BTW, if you buy the TDM version, it comes with an RTAS version. A lower priced, just RTAS version is in the works.

Daryl B+ Will R,

Thanks.

I seem to remember that the Sony Oxford console allowed (factory?) tweaking of the amount of (2nd + 3rd) harmonic distortion created by the EQ filters. (?)
I don't suppose either the TDM or RTAS versions allow such stuff?
Too much to ask maybe....But it would be so nice to be able to go from Surgical to Phatt within the same plugin....in real time.

3rd party developers please note.
