AAE 9480 error
When trying to cut a piece of music down to a 60 second edit I keep running into this error when I attempt a particular 40 bar edit. Whether I use the "cut time" solution from the Event/ Time Operations menu or Shuffle Mode the results are the same. After I make the cut playback stops 2 16th notes before the edit point and I get this error. I started the day in 12.6.1 HD and installed 12.7 and it happens in both. I found one thread on the DUC but it isn't helpful as the circumstances are different and of course there's not a database as to what this error is actually indicating though in the aforementioned thread someone says that it's graphical in nature. I searched the Avid knowledge base and found nothing.
For now I'm working around it by simply selecting another edit point but that solution is not adequate in the long run since this is something I need to be able to do frequently and it's sort of one of the most elemental functions that DAW should be able to perform. Anybody have any experience on how to solve this? I suppose that I'll start a case with Avid though I don't expect much help there. My rig is in my signature. Thanks in advance!

Re: AAE 9480 error
In case anyone else is experiencing this: It's happened several times now with three different sessions so far. Each time it happens it's 100% repeatable. It seems to be fade related. In one instance I was able to complete the edit by deleting all fades at the "target" spot which was earliest in the timeline and *then* cutting time, if that makes sense.

Re: AAE 9480 error
After going through all the normal troubleshooting steps (trashing prefs, etc), the 9480 errors persist. I opened a case with Avid and have submitted a dlog file and a session where the error is 100% repeatable. Hopefully they will let me know something soon.

Re: AAE 9480 error
I just made this error happen. I did a 'cut time' on a 50-something track audio drama session and didn't notice that I'd cut the front end of a cross fade on one of the tracks that was off screen. The bounce stopped at that point with a 9840 error.
Looking at my mistake I found the clip on the right hand side of the cross fade lost its audio content (went blank) when I tried to 'touch' the fade to fix it. Deleting the cross fade altogether made the audio magically re-appear. All's well that ends well and I can't really blame Pro Tools for this...
