Take 2 - Mouse scrolling in 8.01 is terrible

My first post has apparently disappeared.....

Apple Mighty Mouse scroll in 8.01 is nearly unusable for me. It is hypersensitive and jerks all over the place when I'm zoomed in on a region. I know that the Apple MM's are quirky after a while and the scroll ball needs to be "cleaned" from time to time. I've done this several times over the last few sessions and it has not worked.

It's terrible. I spend more time finding my displaced cursor than editing. WAY too sensitive at close zoom settings.

Maybe there should be an adjustment in the prefs for sensitivity?

Who else has had this problem?

There are several threads about this already on the DUC - just do a search for 'Mighty Mouse' or 'scrolling'.

You should be able to use the shift and/or command modifier keys to get more granular control until we can implement a fix for this.
