Default Avid support for digi 003

So is the Digi 003 still officially supported by Avid?
I was thinking of opening a support ticket (paid) regarding the stupid quick punch issue. http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=310286

Would I be throwing money away?

I tried to figure this out in the Avid store but got nowhere. I would like some technical support but they don't make it easy even if you're willing to pay for it. I thought it might help draw some attention to the issue.
It's late and I'm tired. I'm dreaming right?

I think the 003 is currently supported but I don't think it will be in the next PT release 11.

If the issue has been happening for this long, I don't think they have a fix for you. Save your money and spend it elsewhere and use the workarounds that you have been doing for some time now.

You better do it ...im my case i made it with no luck ...they told me that it was my system ...BUT they couldnt explian why with the fast track card i didnt get this stupid error ...they controlled remotely my pc and spent hours troubleshooting with out finding anything.. ..
It would be great that you get a support ticket a see what happen ...maybe the 003 driver get fixed ..conclusion that a few of us beleive with the time ...that the problem its the driver ..

So Avid ASC one (1) phone call for $80, what a joke. I called Dorrough about some meters that are long out of warranty, and actually spoke to a real person twice and had various email discussions all very helpful and problem solved. cost $0

just sayin'

guess it's time to shop for a new interface...

So is there any way to find out if Avid is fixing or will fix the 003 drivers?
I have seen the quick punch glitch/noise problem on 5 different systems and looking through the forums it appears to be a wide spread problem. Being able to punch in and out without glitches is basic stuff. I would like to get a little more mileage from my 003s (two) but this is getting beyond ridiculous.

FWIW, when I punch in/out with the keyboard(F12), I get no glitch with my 003 When I use the foot pedal, I usually get the glitch(and drag the edge of the clip to fix it).

My rig does not record the glitch, it's monitoring only on punch in/out but as 'Raw-Tracks' said; "This is not a small issue. I do hundreds, if not thousands, of punches throughout the course of producing an album and neither I, nor my clients, appreciate hearing this glitch!! Get it together please."

I'm thinking to just dump the 003s. I wish Avid had a replacement . Maybe at NAMM 2013? Otherwise it's UAD or RME or... (or maybe just fix the effing drivers!)
