Default PT 10 HD and Digi 003 console?

Will Digi 003 work?

I own Digi 003 console and i want to build stable system Pro Tools HD or HD2 - 3. Now I have PT Native - but it not so stable under PC Win 8.

Will my controller work with PT 10 or 11 with HD cards installed?

I used to work with my Digi 003 - do i need change my audio interfeace?

My 003 console works flawlessly with 10 and 11 HD on Windows 7 Ultimate. Make sure you get the right driver!!! It's all too easy to accidentally grab the RACK driver, which is not the same. Found that out the hard way.

Whoa, lots of issues here. Where to start...

What exactly are you asking? If you can use the 003 as a control surface with a HD/TDM system? The answer to that is most definitely no.

Do you want to use the 003 as an interface and use the TDM/DSP processing? The answer there is also most definitely no. you have to use a TDM/Digilink connected interface like an Omni, HD IO or 192. You cannot use the 003 with the HD/TDM and Pro Tools HD will not work at all without an interface connected to a core card.

Pro Tools HD/TDM cards will not work with Pro Tools HD 11. Pro Tools HD 10 was the last version to support those cards and TDM/DSP plugins.

You hopefully also realize that you will likely need to obtain TDM versions of many of your current plugins to get maximum benefit of a HD/TDM system. You should also look at voice count needs as you are sizing the system.

You will also need to obtain a Pro Tools HD license as Pro Tools (standard) will not work with HD hardware.

An old TDM system may be an excellent choice folks wanting a doled tracking system. But you really need to know what you are getting into with the complexity, compatibility and costs.
