Default Can you tag the notes in midi editor?

Im using the midi editor allot with ez drummer, and im sick and tired of the editor in LE8 compared to Reaper. Does anyone know if you can somehow tag the notes "left sidekeyboard" in the editor so you would easily know what it would hold for a drum element?

What you can do is have a single midi track for each hit, and name the tracks the way you want. Then you can set the track to only display a single MIDI note..

This has some editing advantages, but is also not quite as convenient as a dedicated MIDI drum editor GUI..

If you go to the trouble to set this up, make sure you make a template out of it so you can re-use it...

I'm doing complex fills with alot of different hit with velocities changing and so on... I'm writing music for my band this way, we play doom metal.
I could see that this with splitting everything up for someone who writes electronic or monotonous beats but not me. Anyway what is this GUI all about?
Thanks for answering in the first place :)

seriously, it can't be true that after spending 250€ on a program, the stock midi editing is centuries behind a 40bucks program like reaper.

Enable 'Colour Code MIDI Notes by Track' when superimposed.

Seriously, Pro Tools ain't Reaper and you need to read the Pro Tools Reference Guide.

Each Key? You mean note pitch, no. Colour Code MIDI Note by Track means colour coding MIDI Note by Track. Flommer has pointed out, keep one drum instrument per track, then switch the track view to 'Single Note View' for Edit Window management. Thus Kick, Snare, etc., not only has it's own track but also has corresponding colour coding.
