iLOK - No Confirmation Email (PLEASE HELP!!)
I just purchased the upgrade to Protools 9, and registered with iLok 6 hours ago - but still have NOT received a confirmation email. I installed Protools and when I start the program (with the iLok USB engaged) - it doesn't do anything. I'm following directions from the Guitar Center sales rep, not sure if I'm doing something incorrect or if iLok simply sucks. PLEASE HELP, we have a session today!!

Your Pro Tools 9 license is still on your iLok.com account, and has not yet been transferred to your iLok. Follow the instructions here:
How do I activate my Pro Tools 9 Crossgrade from Pro Tools LE or M-Powered? Do not use Firefox 4 or higher on www.iLok.com since it may not see your iLok. Use Safari or Firefox 3.

Ha ha ha ha ha. You're joking right? Oh...your not...Ummmm. Ok.
Rule #1: Never rely upon a Guitar Center sales rep for any useful technical information. Rule #2: See Rule #1.

Rule #3: Laugh in the face of anyone who works on the floor at a Guitar Center, and ask them if they had to do anything other than play Stairway on guitar to get the job.

Thanks AVID, but since iLok hasn't sent me the confirmation email for registration - I cannot log into my iLok account! Any way to work around this?
PS - I knew the "Guitar Center" comment would spark some feedback :) |

What is sad, is that this question still isn't answered in two years and it is still happening to people |

It's still happening! The software must be amazing if they spent all their budget on it, because they obviously didn't spend anything on web development, I hope I get to use it someday, when my email comes through...
