Disable shortcut(s) - insertion follows playback

Can we please for the love of god, enable and disable the "n" shortcut or all of the shorts around the "b" shortcut?

Every time i am recording and mixing, i turn on insertion follows playback (by accident) and it becomes very tedious because at 64 wpm, i still can't accurately or consistently operate smoothly without at some point (more than once) turning insertion follows playback. What this does is, it gets in the way of my flow of work.

I am so sorry to be (idk) spammy, it's just very tidius that while trying to split regions (using the "b" shortcut), one press to the "n" and it's chaos :d:d:d:d

Hmmm, you're blaming Pro Tools for the fact that you can't manage to hit the right keys? Then I suggest buying a programmable USB keypad(these are available with anywhere from 4 to 32 keys) and use that instead of the computer keyboard for editing duties.

I hear you. Pro Tools is one of the few DAWs that have one-key shortcuts. We love this, however it does lead to plenty of accidents. Most of us are either composers, artists, sound designers, mixers, or engineers. I'm also guessing very few of us have side jobs as stenographers, so a "disable selective shortcuts" command would be most welcome.

I would love to be able to dis-able the "Y" shortcut.

You do know that you can turn Keyboard Focus off and revert those shortcuts to NOT working as single-key shortcuts?

Yes of course, however, I do like the focus shortcuts... just a few that I don't particularly like.

I thought I was the only person who fought this all day long. Except for me, I think I somehow hit it sometimes with the space bar because I stop and start with my right thumb which is right next to the "n" key. So many times throughout the day I accidentally hit "n" and get frustrated that it switched the mode for me. I would just love to see a lock on that control like there is a lock on Trim tool, Grid mode, etc.

You could try popping the key top off(but do remember to save it someplace safe)

funny me too : i often hit the "n" while hitting the space bar.
But i know this is mostly because i have the habit not to look at the keyboard


but curiously this does not occur all the time but from time to time.
And this has been reccurent for the last 20 years


Same with "y" instead of "t"

Also Online and PreRoll Option key sortcuts... Infuriating when you are selecting and mouse wheel zooming quickly.
