Default PC MACLAN help

Hi
Is there anybody who knows how to configure a PC
maclan soft in order to get connected with a MAC?

I've done it... just follow the instructions carefully.

Once it's installed, launch the PCMACLAN Server on the PC. Then push the "start server" button.

From the mac you should be able to see the pc from chooser once the server is running.

It worked good for me for a number of years... thank God I don't have to use it anymore!!!

Although PC MacLAN is good, I've found DAVE from Thursby to be the best choice in PC/MAC networking. DAVE is also for OS-X (not that it matters for us ProToolers ;-)). Check out http://www.thursby.com/

I agree : go with DAVE. I found PC MacLan to be a bit of a headache.

Absolutely, DAVE is the way to go. The only thing Dave will NOT do is allow you to share non-post script compatible printers, but with printers being so cheap, I just got a $50 Epson for my Macs.

The tech support guys at Thursby are great as well.

I've tried the other two as well as Timbuktu.
I found Doubletalk by Connectix to be the simplest solution
