PRIORITY: Vocalign Le not working in PT9

Hi Avid,
Can you please give us an update on when you'll have this fixed? This plug-in that I bought from you (DV Toolkit) is still useless in PT9. DAE error -7450.

I think they are aware of this and Drum Rehab not working. It certainly causes a few problems though and would be good to have some kind of idea when they will be fixed.

Yes, they seem aware (according to their FAQ thread), but this is really something that should have been fixed by now. It's a plug-in that is one of a kind and many users (like myself) use it almost daily.

Maybe it would be better that Avid negotiate selling this plug back to Syncro Arts? Then we could get an upgrade path.

I get that error (pretty sure it's the same one) when I click Spot. But I find if I just click Spot again it works. Annoying, but I've gotten used to it for now.

Just to be clear! this problem is really with VocAlign project and Vocalign LE

VocAlign Pro and VocAlign project 3 has a workaround by pressing process or spot respectively. for a second time then it will process ok

Synchro Arts actually owns the plug-in and does the development for it.

The update is going to require a Pro Tools update as well as a plug-in update, which is why it's taking so long.

We're working on it as quickly as possible, but I don't have a specific date yet for when the fixes will be available.

Synchro Arts CANNOT upgrade from VocALign LE, since it is a Digidesign product previously supplied as part of the DV Toolkit Bundle, sold and supported by Digidesign. Contact Digidesign for further information.

What they're saying is that there's no upgrade path offered from that version, not that they don't create and develop the plug-in.

I too am waiting for the fix and haven't updated to PT 9 because of it. Vocalign is an essential part of my workflow, both for Music (R&B Backing Vocal stacks) and Post (ADR/Foreign Language dubbing), and was one of the primary reasons I purchased DV Toolkit. I hope Avid can get this update done by the years end. Also, I don't understand Synchro-Art's policy of not providing an update path. If they were to offer say $100 upgrade to VocAlign project 3, I'm sure they'd generate a lot of extra sales. Seems a little short-sighted IMO.
