Default Ultrawide monitor for MB Pro Max

I have set up a MacBook Pro MAX 16 inch, with 32GB RAM. This replaces a 2013 iMac. So far, so good. One notable issue is the HP 25es monitor; it is working fine, but is limited to resolution of 1920 X 1080 at 60ghz.

I am looking for a monitor that will perform well with the MacBook and offer more visual space for the PT windows. The BenQ PD3420Q is attractive. It offers power via the USB-C connector. I am not familiar with "M-Mode" but I think that mode mimics the appearance of the Apple display on the laptop.

I would love to hear from others about the monitors they use.

Keep in mind that higher resolution means smaller on the screen. For me, I stick with 1920x1080(but PT doesn't do well on a PC with 4K screens). 27" is my smallest at 1920x1080. I have used a 43"(and liked it) but am now on a pair of 32" screens(I prefer bigger on the screen).

Big fan of my Samsung 34" curved ultra wide. I appreciate that it has thunderbolt and USB-C ports in addition to all the usual stuff and the display is sharp. Any wider and the display length would start messing with my speaker placement.

Hmmh, well.. my M1 mac mini does well on 3440x1440 + 2560x1440 monitors, but those are not 4K nor it is a PC. Still, no reason to stick with "Full HD" resolution.

npapaleo, what was appealing about the curved monitor? I wonder about user fatigue, distortion of the track display and such things.

Thanks. At this point, if I can get to one 32" it will be an improvement!
