express 34 firewire card with macbook pro
has anyone tried using a third party firewire card with their macbook pro? i am wondering if this would solve some buffer error issues by putting your 002 on the stock port, and your external firewire drive on the express 34 firewire card.

Re: express 34 firewire card with macbook pro
I gather you are having issues with the 002 and your MacBookPro? FWIW- I can run my MacBookPro reilably with an 002 and an MBox2 but not the new firewire based MBox2Pro. What buffer errors are you getting?

Re: express 34 firewire card with macbook pro
for the most part mine is reliable. i do, however, get the accasional buffer error. this makes me not able to trust the system 100%. i am just wondering if it is hardware, or a software issue.
