Default Video Sync & consumer video decks

Would like to know if there exists a box that will generate video sync from a composite video input to feed my VSD...

would appreciate any advice...

I beleve that the video out from the deck can be split and run to the sync input. The timing part of the video signal is all your box should be looking for.
