Multi Track Mute Automation via Keyboard Controllr
Is it possible to setup track-group-muting via a keyboard controller? consider this:
Group 1 is 8 tracks of drum tracks Group 2 is 4 tracks of lead vocal (incl doubling) Group 3 is 12 tracks (8 tracks of drums and 4 tracks of guitar) Group 4 is everything except the vocals Can I setup midi controllers -so I can press middle "C" on my keyboard controller -to mute group 1, and then press "D" to mute group 2, and then press "E" to mute group 3? -then by recording the midi notes the track can be automated? I'd like to experiment with the muting of the various groups in real time (and not manually draw in the mutes for each track because thats allot of effort only to discover my original idea may be unsatisfactory) -and do so by pushing a button (control surface button/keyboard controller/drum machine) instead of clicking a mouse. I'd like to be able to "hit" the muting like hitting a pad on a drum machine -mouse clicking small mute buttons is clumsy for me (i.e. the pointer creeps off to one side of the mute button while I'm trying to focus on air drumming ). Thanks for help, cc1 |
