protools in pre and post production
He guys I'm pretty new to protools, but working hard every day at it, since I'm using it at work. I was used to recording and mixing music mainly, but now I'm mostly working with sound effects and voiceovers, direct recording, digital audio for web, flash, the whole nine yards. I wonder if anybody is into this type of job and could give me a few hints as to the editing and mixing differences when it comes to submixing, using mono vs stereo samples, for more space to work within the 32 active tracks limit etc. I'd really apreciate it if anyone can comment about it. Also, is there a way to work with different takes with in the same track, w/o having to dig inside the regions list?

Re: protools in pre and post production
I can answer your last question at least--On the name of the track, there is a little arrow box. Click it and a pop-up window will open for "playlists". These are basically takes of the same track, and you can make as many as you want.
