Default Anyone ever successfully restore firmware to an Omni

That says “no firmware” it’s dead only has amber power light. I’ve tried a ton of digitest versions even back to PT10 erra. No luck. Usually will say erasing firmware and then hang at that point or hang at 0 percent.

I find it simply retarded that they designed a product that can erase firmware but not restore it.

There must be a low level utility that can plug into main board and allow firmware restore.

Contact support then. The update process may hang for a while but should not be quit before Omni restarts itself. What does the DigiTest say about your unit?

Attached is a pic of the digitest. The one is from when it froze and shows current version 1.11 With target as 2.10. Then I tried re running with older version of digitest and it shows no current firmware

Before you contact support, have you tried unplugging digilink cable, pressing setup button, scrolling to reset?

Front panel is dead. Only thing that lights is amber power button. And yea I’ve tried pressing setup and applying power with no response.

Other than random tip of trying a firmware update again with a pre-12.4 digitest version, I would say you need to contact support.

I have an OMNI where the front panel will freeze constantly on power-up. It sounds ridiculous, but give it a "gentle" hit underneath it. Maybe a little harder than gentle. Mine comes back to life and all of the displays, buttons, and knobs function again.

I had an Omni that I thought was dead, but it turned out that the contrast settings had changed and blanked out the screen. It happened completely out of the blue. Is there any chance these things have a little battery in them that may need replacing after some years?
