Is it possible to slave the 002 to a Korg Triton Extreme?
I can't imagine that this is possible, but...
Is there a way to create a sequence in my Triton that could control automation (including effects) on my 002 in standalone mode? I'm using my 002 in a live setup with my band and since we already play to a click for sequenced tunes, it would be great if I could incorporate the effects in the 002 as part of the sequencer data. For example, enable a nice delay in a verse, but not in a chorus (think Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd). Thanks, |

The 002 has no built in effects.

Actually, it does have effects (delay and reverb) as well as dynamics (Compressor/Gate), and eq too!

Ah you're right, I was thinking of the 002R.
Either way, there'd be no way to sequence effects without access to Pro Tools. At best, you could have someone control them while playing the song.

Deep down I'm sure you're right, but I was really hoping there would have been a way to do this, using MIDI CC data...as long as the 002 could respond to my Korg.
Oh well...time to just tell the lead singer to figure out how to do it himself I guess. Thanks. |

Well, if you're already playing to a click, why not set up a Pro Tools session, (or really any DAW would suffice) with effects automated during the song?

Re: Is it possible to slave the 002 to a Korg Triton Extreme?
The simple answers is...Because I don't want to take my Mac to the gig.
I use the click track in the Korg's sequencer, to feed the drummer, via earbuds. Besides, I'm already lugging too much gear to these gigs as it is. |
