Just wondering, to all you out there running 9.1 on 9600's. I'm assuming you've upgraded with G3 cards? If so, which cards (Newer, XLR8, SONNET)? You guys didn't specify in your posts.
Is it possible (and worth your while) to run 9.1 on a stock 9600?

As I said, I'm running 9.0, not 9.1. It is however on a stock 9600/350 and it runs just fine.

Well I gotta tell you, I've not had smashing success since upgrading my 9500 NewerG3/400 to 9.1/5.1.
I reformatted the drive with the OS 9.1 install disk, fresh install. I am at the edge of RAM requirments (192).
I'll have to experiment with the cards, I have a magma 7 slot chassis, capture card configuration and am using the setup from the compatibility documents.
Actually 9.1 isn't digi approved yet (only G4 AGP 4slot) as it turns out. They recommend 9.0.4 and I don't know whether it's a non-tested issue, or they've tested it and it doesn't work right. I wish that would be confirmed - Is 9.1 and a 9500/9600 a workable combo?
How can you get a 9.0.4 install disk?

The main issue I am running into with this release is intermittent lockups. Especially after leaving the computer idle for a while. I have turned off energy saver, TCP/IP, even auto-save in PTs but it doesn't seem to matter.
That has got me wondering if it's hardware related.

I upgraded my 9600/233 from 8.6 to 9.04 According to the Compatibility Documents, 9.6 is not supported on a 9500 or a 9600

9600/350 with 320MB RAM:
1xMix Core
1xMix Farm
1xAudiowerk
1x2940-UW
2xVideo

Logic4.7+PT5.0, and guess what:
MAC OS 9.1 = rock solid system, so
I don´t understand what is your problem with 9.1.

I have tried 8.0, 8.1, 9.0, 9.0.4 and believe
me: 9.1 is the best of all OS.
(much faster than 9.0.4 and very reliable)
