Default SMPTE 29.97 DF to MTC Question

I have a JL Cooper PPS 2 which converts SMPTE to MTC. I need to do a stem mix/vocal track transfer to Pro Tools LE. Vocal tracks will be added in Pro Tools and then transfered back to tape. The clock reference will be an Apogee ? 8 channel converter using lightpipe.

My question is this. Other than setting the sync mode to optical and the framerate to 29.97 DF what other settings midi or otherwise, in the LE software, need to be done? Then is the process just setting a start time code number in the Session Setup window, record enable the tracks, click the clock icon and then set the tape machine in motion? I only need the MTC for a starting reference as the tracks will be transferred in their entirity from beginning to end.

I am running a 001 with the 5.2.1 beta 32 track software.

I appreciate the input.
