Can the interleaved tracks be split out to separate mono tracks like multi-mono (L/R) stereo tracks?

I would like for my tracks to appear NOT as stereo tracks but simply as mono tracks - just one waveform, not one on top of the other. I assume there's a way to "collapse" these waveforms into a single level?

From the image it looks like you have stereo files with matching L/R content or L or R content only.

You can split the stereo tracks by creating two new mono tracks and then drag the clip from the stereo track to the topmost mono track. Or you can right click on the track name and select "Split into Mono". Then you could delete the stereo track and one of the mono tracks.

Another method is to insert the "Down Mixer" plug-in on the stereo tracks. It will make the tracks mono, but I don't think it will change the clip view.
