Has anyone used the new 12.8 Atmos Features Yet?

Hey all,

Has anyone been able to use the new features of 12.8 for Atmos? I'd love to try it, but have yet to get the Production Suite trial on Dolby's website to work. I get the feeling that this trial is not the newest, and what's there is not 12.8 ready?

Is the one sold on Avid's website newer? does anyone have a manual that they could share? I have a Atmos mix coming up, and would love to see if this is the way to go.

I bought it a few month ago long before 12.8 came out.

Since then Dolby did not do updates.

Unfortunately the templates should be updated for 12.8. You have to build your own template.
"Protools expert" has one 12.8 template online for downloading. Good for starting and looking whats going on and how to setup.

Yeah, I downloaded the 30 day trial and used it with PT12.80 and it works great. It takes a little bit of a setup, but once you have a template it's easy to incorporate into you work.

I am happily using it for the last week, with a special focus on VR and binaural mixing. So far, it's great. Hasn't crashed once and doesn't use a lot of CPU.

The included templates in Documents/Pro Tools/Session Templates/ are invaluable.
