Default Bounce bug?

Two songs I recently recorded were ok until I bounced them, (I sent them to iTunes. Much easier to find them after the bounce than the old method. Now when I reopen the sessions several bars are missing from the start of the songs. (No sound until about the 3rd or 4th bar!). I highlighted all the tracks from start to finish, top to bottom which, as I understand is the proper procedure before bounce. Funny thing is the iTunes playback is the complete song. I forgot to say, I'm on PT's 12.7 if that matters. Anyone? Thanks.

Bounced files are not hard to find. They are in your session folder in their own Bounced files folder.

Bounced files are anywhere you want them to be. There's an option to select destination right at the bottom of the bounce dialog.

As for the missing bars, are you saying the regions from the first few bars have literally disappeared from the session? Is there a blank space at the beginning?

And about the highlighting to bounce thing - you only need to highlight the section of the ruler up top that you want to bounce. You don't need to actually highlight the audio regions themselves.
You don't technically even have to do that really, it's just insurance against dead space at the end of the recording.

Bounced files were hard for me to find! Now since they've added the iTunes option it's easy. Thanks Avid for looking after us users that are not all that adept at navigating the Windows file system.

The entire song is there on screen but no sound for the first few bars. Could it be that instead of having all the tracks as ticks they should be samples?

So is the front of the song actually missing, or is there a lot of silence before the actual song starts? If the front of the song is silent, maybe some accidental automation? Try running the Bounce in real time(UN-check the Offline option) and listen.

As for selection for BTD, I usually automate the Master track's volume so its down and ramps up right before the first sound, and ramps out right after the final sound(or ramps as a fade-out. Then I highlight the master track from the end(where the volume is all the way down) and swipe back to the beginning

Lastly, as for the Bounce to iTunes option, 2 things to consider;
1-when you bounce to iTunes, what format does the final file end up as? Wave or MP3?(I don't know as I never have used this option).
2-by default,(NOT using the Bounce to iTunes option), the session folder will end up with its own "Bounced Files" folder, which makes it easy(in theory) to find your finals, so does Bounce to iTunes bypass this, or puts the final audio in both locations(iTunes AND the Bounced Files folder)? Good stuff to know
