Default Waves 7 with Protools 7.1

I was looking at upgrading to the Platinum bundle (from Gold and Musician's 1). It is a ridiculously good price ($400) and come with some fantastic plugs for mastering and such. Has anyone had success running Waves 7 on Protools 7.1? I know it says that you need 7.4, but I was wondering if that was a hard and fast rule or just what is officially supported.

I suppose if necessary I can try to find 7.4 upgrade. I have 10.4.11 which I believe is supported.

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this. God bless!
