SOT - MIDI IO not working well with 2020

I was wondering if anyone else was having a similar issue.

I have a MIDI IO (which, in Avid's defense is an old piece of hardware). I may be an outlier in that I still like having an 8x8 MIDI interface because I like to control some of my outboard's program changes and save that data in my session.

Anyway, I keep running into an issue where PT isn't receiving any MIDI data. If I go to Audio Midi Setup there is a 'MIDI Not Available' type of message.

If I delete the MIDI IO driver and reinstall sometimes it works for a little while.

This week I have a ton of stuff that has to get done so I ordered a new 8x8 (MOTU something or other).

If others are having this issue I'll post to see if this solves things.
