Default DELAY EFFECT WHEN RECORDING INTO DIGI 002

I AM RECORDING DRUMS INTO DIGI 002 RACK AND THERE IS A DELAY EFFECT WHILE RECORDING BUT IS GONE DURING PLAYBACK. THIS ALSO OCCURS WHEN RECORDING 1/4" INTO MBOX 2. I CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO TURN THIS DAMN THING OFF. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

this is latency, ie the delay between the signal going into your computer through the interface and coming baack through your headphones.

enable low latency monitoring....i think its in the setup menu in pt, should do it for you although any plugs inserted on the channels your recording on will be muted.

otherwise try changin the p/b buffer in the playback engine menu page.

low setting = low latency/higher cpu load
high setting = hi latency/ lower cpu load

flip between both settings when recording and mixing i.e. low for recording/hi for mixing to have more cpu power

hope this helps

You dont have the option for low latency monitoring with the Mbox so the way round is just to mute the track you are recording, this way you will only the sound going in to the Mbox as opposed to the direct sound and the latent digitized doubled sound.

Cheers

That sounds right. I have no plugins inserted so this should do the trick. Thanks
