Default Eucontrol not responding on initial startup

Using Eucontrol 2016.6 with PT 2016.6 I'm getting a beachball in Pro Tools after opening a session.
If I force quit Eucon and restart it, everything is fine.
Any ideas what might be causing this?

I don't know if this is the same issue BUT every time I quit PT shutdown the computer then rebooted and started PT ....I would a window asking if I wanted to quit or relaunch Eucon. I stumbled on this fix that Kyle Splitgerber posted in another thread And so far everything is working

com.euphonix.eucon.plist
com.euphonix.EuConSystem.plist
com.Euphonix.EuControl.plist

Next, please manually uninstall and not run the uninstaller. So...
-In Library>Preferences, delete com.euphonix.install.EuControl.plist
-In Library>Application Support, delete Euphonix folder
-In Applications folder, delete Euphonix folder
-Reboot Mac
-Empty Trash
-Install EuControl 3.2
-EuControl will auto-launch
Note in my applications the Eucon is an icon not a folder so just delete it

I'm worried that if I do what you say I will lose all my custom settings?
It's still doing the same thing.
I start PT everything seems fine and as soon as I duplicate a track or even try to close the session I get a beachball.
When I look at Force Quit Applications window both Eucon and PT are hanging, however if I close Eucon PT comes back fine and then I re-start Eucon and everything seems normal.
It's a weird one!!

Those instructions are from years ago. The Installer has all this in it now if you check remove All Apps and Remove all Prefs. This leaves any custom Softkey files though. If you are worried about losing prefs just take a screen grab of the general and Pref tabs.

Weirdly the original problem I had seems to have gone away.
But now I'm getting Eucon crashes if I close a session before quitting PT.


Also an occasional hang/spinning beachball when importing video by drag and drop.


These are all Eucon crashes, if I force quit Eucon, PT remains active and stable.

Did you do the complete uninstall and remove prefs yet ?

I did that today Eddie.
Another couple of hangs after the reboot, but now it seems ok again.
I'll see how it goes tomorrow.
