Cubase 8 and Eucon?

Have upgraded to Cubase 8 and Eucon does not have much functionality with the upgrade. Transport controls don't work etc. - although it does register in Eucon as using Cubase8 setup.

Functionality was fine in Cubase 7.5.
Any ideas as to how I could get the same in Cubase 8?

Can't even find a Cubase8.xml file in the library folder!

I think I've found an easy fix for this.

The default Cubase Eucon settings seem to be saved in Library/Application Support/Euphonix/DYN_APPSETS

The file I had saved there was Cubase7.xml - I renamed it Cubase8.xml and all my previous soft key maps etc loaded in when I ran Cubase 8.

Autobank has stopped working for me in C8. Tried to look for xml file as above (there's actually 5 of them in W7) but there were C8 versions already there. Reverting to C7.5.2 for now, which is fine (as are all versions of PT).

Win7 64bit, i7 4930, 64gb ram, eucon 3.2.1.

Just doing a canvass for anyone with Cubase Pro8 and EuControl 3.2.1 to do a check on autobanking. I hear it works on Win 8.1, but run out of ideas to fix this.

As I said in the Cubase Pro 8 Forum... " My setup auto-banks just fine!"

Did you try trashing the Cubase Preferences folder?

Were you also careful not to let Cubase Pro 8 steal settings from previous Cubase versions?

You should really do this every time you upgrade! I've had previous versions of Cubase behave very strangely by not following this procedure!

Thanks Al (and from on the Steinberg thread). Yeah, looks like shift / cntrl / alt doesn't create true frest preferances at all! Autobanking restored - preferences needed trashing completely ( https://www.steinberg.net/nc/en/supp...n-windows.html ). The corrupt file was UserPreferences.xml - was able to put other preferences back once C8 folder had been remade from scratch.

EDIT - in fact, it was much more basic than that - forgot that project and mix windows need to be synced! Doh.

Adding to this: I also had to rename the default settings from 7 to 8, but in order to make it work properly I also had to delete the Cubase8.xml located at Library/Application Support/Euphonix/UserSets/MC2User and restart Eucon.
