Default Apogee Ensemble and Digi 192's Adat Option

I run two rigs…i track in cubase 7 (wish i didn't have to) because i can use a plugin that compensates for the delay between the record and the repro head on my 2" tape machines. i just keep the tape rolling and record exactly the way anyone would on a DAW. my mixing rig is a protools hd3 with 3 blue digi 192's. i also have an apogee ensemble FW and everything clocks to a UA 2192. i sometimes use my digi hardware in cubase but only the first 192 shows up for 8 inputs. i also sometimes use the ensemble and with the UA 2192 i get 10 inputs…i would like to get more inputs on the cubase/tracking side because being a drummer i sometimes use up to 13 mics. i tried using the 192's and the ensembles ADAT ins/outs but on the 192 in the i/o set up window in the drop down menu the adat ins/outs are Italicized saying not available??? can someone tell me if this is even possible with my hardware/set up? and if so how do i set that up? and could the reason the adat channels are not available be because i record in 88.2kHz? (i read somewhere here that the 192's adat only support up to 48k? but i always thought you just get 4 channels instead of 8 at 88k??!@#) thanks...

192 ADAT is 44.1k/48k only

HD hardware only let you use the first 8 I/O for not PT apps

I would get a Sync HD (or I/O if your running pre 10 version of PT ) pre-stripe SMPTE on the last track of the 2" (16 or 24) the set the TC Offset in PT for the space between the 2" heads at the speed your using.

A Synchronizer for the 2" wouldn't be a bad idea ether and lock ever thing to a BB Generator, other wise clock TP to the incoming SMPTE TC
