Sound Control Panel & Digidesign CP problems...
Ok
when i select "digidesign" from the sound control panel (CP) sometimes i hear the beep out of the 888 and sometimes not... Sometimes other Sound Manager apps can utilize the 888 and sometimes no.. and USUALLY once the Sound control panel is selected to Digi output, when i try to load PT (with no other apps running) its says hardware in use by other app... Sometimes it works just fine also Is it just buggy as hell or is there something im doing wrong? Mix plus, 9.0.4, 5.0.1 (also with 5.1 on my other rig) any help would be great. thanks

I too am confused by the Digi Control Panel. It has a button that let's you select the hardware Setup dialog, but seems to have no effect on routing non Protools stuff like Quicktime to the Digi Hardware. I use the Sound Control Panel and select Input as Built In and output as Digidesign. Is this correct or am I missing something?

I´ve been trying to solve this for a long time now.
I think its when I use the internet on my mac that remote access doesnt release the hardware to PT after. Havent been able to find a solution... Ben
