Default Positive Experience With 2021.6

Thought I’d post a success story. Just completed my first paid mixing job using 2021.6. I had no issues whatsoever, though, it was not an enormous set of tracks/voices: 24 raw WAV files provided by local band: drums, other percussion, guitars, vocals. No keys.

Dell XPS 15
i9 8 cores
32GB ram
Windows 10
PT Ultimate
HDX card in AVID external enclosure
AVID MTRX Studio

Used only AVID stock AAX plugins during mix on 46 total tracks (24 instruments, 22 aux, VCAs, 2-buss, master and print tracks)

Bounced stereo print using outboard Neve 5051 comp/EQ
and Neve Master Buss Processor

Not one glitch. System Usage meter barely registered. Much improved performance for me vs. 2021.3. Hybrid rocks!

Good to hear the success stories. Often we tend to focus on the issues and bugs in this forum (rightfully so), but let's not forget the purpose we got into this field. We love music, technology, creativity, and enjoy making it sound the best. Protools, with all its challenges, still serves as a tool to get that done. Let's strive to keep that dream alive and encouraging others to do the same. It is refreshing to get some positive energy here.

Yeah, in the middle of a tracking project adding tracks, archiving, deleting, consolidating and not one hiccup. Very solid performance.

Same solid performance here. Windows 10 pro, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 3.7GHz Processor, 32 gigs of ram. SSD drives throughout.
